"One's destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things."

I started my career onboard ships working as cruise staff with Royal Caribbean.  At 19 years it was an exciting job and one that I allowed me to see parts of the world that I never would have been able to experience. My love of travel stemmed from working onboard and meeting people from around the globe. Eventually, I knew that I had to return to life on land and moved to Toronto, Ontario where I began my first job as a Travel Advisor at a call centre. While I was thrilled about learning about sales it was a very transactional job and eventually I moved to a home based travel agency which was a better fit for me and it allowed me the ability to move back to Victoria, BC. For me personally, selling travel is about making connections and working with our clients for years and years on all their travel plans. 

It was when back in Victoria my life changed in 2005 when I saw a job ad for a manager at a travel agency. Long story short, I loved helping the travel advisors learn the ropes of navigating this exciting career and when the opportunity to buy the business and be the owner, well,  I didn’t miss a beat and went all in.  

The travel industry was hit hard by Covid but the resilience of the travel industry and those that both love to travel and love to sell travel…is amazing! I am so proud to work with small business owners who want to help their clients have extraordinary experiences.

I am incredibly proud of the comeback story of both centers and the recovery from Covid.  The offices have some lofty goals of becoming the top choice on Vancouver Island to book your travel vacation!
